Thanks to an ongoing PR campaign by the MCIA, the national press has not been slow to recognise the advantages of powered two-wheel commuting during the Coronavirus crisis.

The Daily Mirror has praised the socially distanced advantages of two-wheel travel over public transport and more recently, the Daily Telegraph invested a half page feature to the topic.

Under the heading “Two wheels good” the Telegraph’s assistant motoring editor, Ed Wiseman, said powered two wheelers are enjoying a renaissance in the coronavirus era because they are inexpensive, entertaining and fundamentally socially distanced.

He went on to explain the transition from four wheels to two wheels can be daunting for car drivers, although the cost and mobility advantages can be had for less than the price of a railway season ticket.
