National Hard Enduro series

To make the most of the increasing popularity of “Hard” or “Extreme” enduros the ACU has launched a national series to satisfy demand and to compliment the already well-established British Extreme Championship series, giving riders the chance to get plenty of experience of such events before entering world events such as Erzberg or Romaniacs.

The ACU says it has brought together some of the most experienced promoters to run the series. Riders will also benefit from the series by having one ACU licence which will enable them to ride the Hard series and the Extreme Championship, as well as Timecard Enduros, Sprints and Hare ’n’ Hounds events. The first event is scheduled for 13 March at Leighton Hall, organised by Edge Offroad.

Motomondo announces sponsorships
MotoMondo UK will be supporting some strong riders in the 2022 season of the new British Hard Enduro Championships/ British Enduro and in some World Championships rounds including Red Bull Romainiacs, Erzberg and Sea to Sky.

The buyout of the GasGas brand in 2020 by KTM gave Rieju the opportunity to acquire the designs for the GasGas enduro bike range, refine it and rebrand the bikes as “Hard Offroad” models within the Rieju range. Now that the bikes are arriving in the UK and Ireland, MotoMondo believes it is the right time for a marketing push for the brand. This takes the form of supporting riders Mitch Brightmore, Jack Winn and Adam Extance in the British Hard Enduro Championships, and Will Keenan who will feature in the sprint series. They will be joined at the first round of the series by John Battensby riding the new Rieju MR 250 Pro.

MotoMondo is also partnering with LS2 Helmets and the Mick Extance Experience in Wales. Mick Extance will have the latest 2022 Rieju machines available for anyone to try.
