Neo Distribution to launch bicycle range

Neo Distribution is launching the Kroon range of bicycle products to complement its growing selection of motorcycle-related brands.

Speaking at the International Classic Dirt Bike Show at Telford (21-22 February), Neo MD John Hayden said Neo planned to supply the many motorcycle dealerships that sell mountain and racing bikes as well as standard everyday bicycles.

The Kroon range, made in Holland, consists of chain lubes, polish oils, degreasers, washing agents, wax polishes and includes wet and dry weather products and all-season lubes.

This latest initiative comes hot on the heels of a hectic period of expansion and promotion by the 15 staff at the Peterborough distributorship, formerly known as Putoline Distribution, who have more than 1000 dealers on their books.

In November the company announced it had taken on distribution of Italy’s Kappa luggage range. In December it signed a new three-year agreement as lubricant partner for Gas Gas trials bikes in the UK.

In January, and renamed Neo, the distributor sponsored the world indoor trial round at Sheffield and had a stand at the Expo trade show. In February Neo had a stand at London Excel and sponsored the Classic Dirt Bike Show.

“Last year was a record year for us, and this year has started off being really, really busy,” said Hayden. “We launched the Kappa range at Expo and that’s had a major response. We are adding new product all the time, and some big dealers have come on board this year. And we are running a consumer campaign.”

The ever energetic Hayden combined last weekend with a day on his stand at the Classic Dirt Bike Show and Sunday riding in and sponsoring the Cambridge Matchless trial.
