Oxford sets turnover record and continues to expand

Oxford Products has been breaking turnover records, recruiting, training and vying for top business awards.

The Witney-based distributor did £3.1million-worth of business in May. “Exports are flying,” said marketing director Henry Rivers-Fletcher. “Both developed and emerging markets are feeling a pick-up in the global economy.”

In the last year, the company has put three young people through apprenticeships in the business and into full-time roles, with two more close to finishing.

The company now employs some 114 people and, at the recent Oxfordshire Business Awards, was proud to be a finalist in two categories: Large Company of the Year and the Employer of the Year.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Oxford Products is encouraging its staff to get on to two wheels. The distributor believes biking saves the employee time and money, and fosters a healthy passion for the company’s many products – which can make “a significant impact on product development”.

Pictured are the company’s newest bikers: Luke James, Sean Caffekey, Kris Doe, Rebekah Eaglestone and Fraser Williams, as well as seasoned riders Kyle Swann and Mark Eaton.

“They can now all test and help to develop products on their daily commutes,” said Rivers Fletcher.
