Motor and motorcycle retail tech specialist iVendi has appointed Simon Hunt to a new role of head of information security and compliance. He has previously worked as a freelance consultant for the company since 2017.

Entering the IT sector in 1988, Hunt has operated as an analyst programmer, a business unit manager in the IBM Business Partner programme and, since 2009, as an independent specialist in information security. His experience encompasses everything from banks, insurance companies and large retailers through to SMEs.

This latest appointment is part of the iVendi’s aim to double in size over the next three years. “Simon is very well known to us and is already a highly valued member of our team, explained iVendi chief operating officer Richard Tavernor. We are very pleased to welcome him to this important position and are sure he will make a valuable contribution to our progress.”

Siman Hunt added: “The company already enjoys a leading position in information security and data protection management in the motor retail technology sector. And my aim is to enhance the visibility of how it protects trade customer and consumer data, to give existing and prospective customers absolute confidence and peace of mind.”
