SOUTH COAST DEALER ON THE CUSP?

Reading-based insolvency practitioner KRE Corporate Recovery announced on 22 April that it anticipates shortly being appointed as administrator to a motorcycle dealership supplying the public and other dealers.

Given these circumstances, KRE is advertising an opportunity to acquire the business and assets of this dealership serving the south coast of England from an 8500-sq-ft leasehold property near Ringwood.

The dealership in question is characterised by KRE as a stockist of new Triumph and Peugeot machines, among other brands, as well as used bikes, clothing and parts — plus a servicing department. It also supplies imported bikes to other dealerships nationally.

The only entity fitting this description in the Ringwood area is Three Cross Motorcycles, the UK Peugeot scooter trade distributor and also a franchised Triumph retailer, at Three Legged Cross near Wimborne, just over the Dorset border.

KRE adds that the company has 21 full-time staff and one part-time staff member, and had a turnover of £6,947,000 in the year to 31 December 2019.

BDN was unable to contact Three Cross for comment. The business is currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
