success for mrs sherco in scott trial

The famous Scott Trial took place in perfect weather at the weekend deep in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Around 180 riders compete in this prestigious Richmond Motor Club event. With over 75 miles covered and around 70 challenging sections it was all to play for on Saturday.

It was a successful day for the MRS Sherco team, writes Malcolm Rathmell Sport. Dan Peace had an exceptional day. Losing 16 on time and 25 on observation he picked up a solid third place and the Raspin Challenge Bowl plus a gold spoon. His brother Jack had a tougher day but still won the award for the best Under 21, adding to the mix was James Fry who finished in 12th place allowing the MRS Sherco team to lift the team trophy.

After winning her sixth world championship title Emma Bristow was on a mission to get a strong result, she achieved her best ever result of 17th plus a silver spoon and also picked up the award for Best Lady. With a time of 44 and observation of 66 this was another unbelievable achievement by Emma.

Dan Peace – “P3 in the Scott Trial! I’m happy with that! It wasn’t the smoothest of days so to get my first Scott podium made a hard days graft worthwhile.”

Jack Peace – “Unfortunately it was not my day at all at the Scott at the weekend coming 11th. Still some positives to take with best Under 21 and helping MRS Sherco to win the manufacturers award.”

Emma Bristow – “The final major event of the season and I couldn’t be happier with my result. I rode all day without any punctures and mechanical problems, the Sherco was perfect. This meant I could good at a good pace and focus on my observation score! I felt physically strong all day and was over the moon when I realised I had a new personal best and another Scott spoon. Thanks to my amazing team who kept me fed and motivated all day long.”
