AJP, the Portuguese motorcycle manufacturer specialising in enduro and off-road motorcycles, has appointed a new UK importer.
Bob Allen and business partner Martin Wittering, pictured, of Torque Racing are already re-establishing the AJP dealer network and support infrastructure and will be exhibiting at Expo 2019.
Allen has UK industry experience dating back to the days of Peter Gleave and has been using AJPs for seven years in his trail riding company TrailWorld. He’s purchased around 60 AJP bikes over that time, hence the logical move to importing them when the opportunity arose. Wittering’s business, Torque Racing, has been operating for 11 years and specialises in rally raid race preparation. Wittering has become a highly respected name on the rally circuit, having built Patsy Quick’s first rally bike which she took to the Dakar (Quick was the first British woman to compete in the Dakar) and has even worked for Cyril Despres.
