Tour company’s big charity debt

Adventure touring specialist Global Enduro, based in Bath, Somerset, was put into administration on 28 January. On its website the directors say the company, which ran motorcycle tours to Cambodia, Nepal, India and other exotic locations, had fallen victim to the immense financial pressures faced by many retailers in the current economic climate, but press reports that up to £122,000 was owed to four charities the company organised events for would suggest its problems went deeper than that.

Customers who booked packages where a flight is included are protected by the company’s ATOL bond. Administrators are Antony Batty and Co LLP, Grays Inn, London, WC1R 5EF.
