triumph roadshow hits the highlands: video

The Triumph Glasgow Roadshow parked up at the Green Welly, Tyndrum, at the weekend (27/28 April) for test rides. There was also entertainment in the form of the record-breaking Moto2 prototype which was on display and regularly fired up to the obvious delight of – now slightly hard-of-hearing – visitors!

It was a soggy start to the weekend, with some ongoing precipitation throughout the Saturday, but the weather improved on the Sunday.

Demonstrator models included:
–   Street Triple RS
–   Speed Triple RS
–   Tiger 800 XRT
–   Tiger 1200
–   Bobber
–   Speedmaster
–   Street Twin
–   Speed Twin
–   Street Scrambler
–   Scrambler 1200 XE
With the following bikes on display:
– Scrambler 1200 XC
– Bobber Black
– Thruxton R with Track Racer Kit

The group rides, topped and tailed by experienced marshalls, headed out from the Green Welly towards Dalmally on the A85, for 15 minutes, turned and returned, closing a 30-minute ride in total.

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE was one of the most distinctive bikes on display and Ducati Triumph said many BMW GS owners and previous generation Tiger and Explorer owners were booked well in advance for a spin on this impressive machine.
