VE (UK), the scooter parts and accessories specialist, has launched Price Match, a new initiative that, it says, allows dealers to buy from them safe in the knowledge that their price is the best.
“If you have seen a product advertised cheaper by another wholesaler, let us know and we’ll beat that price,” says VE (UK), who add that the offer does not apply to product being offered on an auction site or on stock that is being liquidated. Other exclusions include items advertised but not in stock.
At the same time, VE (UK) has restructured its recommended retail price list so that its prices are in line with those of online stores. The new price list ensures that when a dealer quotes a retail price to a customer it will not be undercut by an online store.
Robert Kerr, VE (UK) sales director said: “Quoting prices to customers is a tricky business. Quote too high and the customer will walk away. Knowing what every product is currently worth online is not always possible. This can mean that the diligent dealer, looking to secure a sale, wastes valuable time looking up the price, then scouring the internet to see what the online stores are currently selling it for.”
