Yamaha to support Two Wheels for Life

Yamaha is teaming up with UK-based charity Two Wheels for Life with a new three-year deal to raise funds for and increase awareness of the work done by its charity partner Riders for Health. The new partnership will see the manufacturer launch a series of fundraising activities, including competing in the Africa Eco Race where Yamaha will run its brand-new Ténéré 700 World Raid.

Two Wheels for Life has worked closely with Yamaha for more than three decades, using the firm’s sturdy AG100 and AG200 bikes as transport for health workers operating in the toughest environments. The reliability, value for money and ease of maintenance of these specially-designed bikes make them ideal for tackling poor roads in some of Africa’s most remote regions.

Throughout the three-year partnership, Yamaha will support Riders for Health and its UK-based fundraising arm, Two Wheels for Life, by increasing awareness of the charity’s work and running various fundraising activities on the Yamaha Motor for Riders website. Money raised by the project will go to run motorcycle fleets used to deliver vital healthcare in four African countries.

Andrea Coleman, co-founder of  Riders for Health and Two Wheels for Life said: “Yamaha is close to our hearts. We have used their AG bikes for more than 30 years in our African programmes and their racing teams have supported our fundraising since the start of the charity. We are excited to announce this new, landmark three-year partnership between Riders for Health, Two Wheels for Life and Yamaha. Together we will show that motorcycles save lives!”
