Italian accessories maker Givi has launched its first-ever expandable Monokey luggage box – an adaptable design that can be used as either a top box or a side-mounted pannier. The XSpace has an initial capacity of 27 litres, but can expand out to accommodate 36 litres with the flick of a couple of levers changing it from a 260mm-wide urban carrier to a 320mm-wide commodious touring luggage. The telescopic system used to expand the case does away with vulnerable bellows or zips and is entirely accessible from the outside, meaning it can be expanded while loaded and fitted on the bike. It remains completely waterproof whatever the configuration. It comes in all-black for £288 SRP or black with an anodised aluminium top cover plate for £333 SRP.
