The JMP 501 is an update to the firm’s earlier 500 model. Most of the spec is carried over: the working platform is the same generous size, working height remains at 1.3m, there is still a drop-out gate for better rear wheel access and they have kept the integrated tool tray and 10-point safety lock. Even the payload remains the same at 500kg.
So what has changed? The big new feature is that the motor and pump unit have been relocated underneath the table, saving floorspace in the workshop. It uses a 13A domestic supply, making electrical installation a simple job. Optional extras available include an automatic wheel clamp, side extensions and a crane for suspension work.
