BACK TO THE FUTURE AT OXFORD

Oxford Products has got into bed with Celeres Racing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its last Isle of Man TT campaign. Celeres has built a replica Ducati 888 wearing full 1992/93 Oxford period livery, to compete in the 2017 Superbike F1 Classic TT race during August.

In identical colours to those used for the Oxford Products Ducati ridden by TT legends Trevor Nation, Robert Dunlop and Mark Farmer in the early 1990s, current TT star James Hillier will be in the saddle. Boasting a TT victory, ten podiums and status as the fifth-fastest rider in TT history, Hillier is also to run race number five, the same as Trevor Nation a quarter of a century ago, and he will wear equally traditional Oxford-emblazoned leathers.

Optimistic about the prospects for success, Celeres Racing team owner Stafford Evans said: β€œIt’s a real honour to be able to replicate the Oxford team of 25 years ago. I actually think that with this bike and with James at the handlebars, we have a real shot at bringing home the top prize. I am very excited.”
