Bennetts joins forces with Oliver’s Mount

Bennetts has been confirmed as a new sponsor of Oliver’s Mount.

The motorcycle insurance specialist – celebrating its 90th birthday in 2020 – will be supporting the two events staged at the historic venue this year: the Barry Sheene Classic (14-16 August) along with the Gold Cup (11-13 September). These meetings represent the first road races to be held in the UK this year and the good news is that they are also open for fans to attend.

Bennetts has a long history of supporting motorcycle racing and supporting Oliver’s Mount fits in perfectly with the company’s sponsorship of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, the Isle of Man TT and the Classic TT presented by Bennetts.

At the Barry Sheene Classic, the hotly contested Classic Superbike race will now be known as the ‘Bennetts Classic Superbike Race’ which next weekend will feature a host of top-level stars, including Senior TT winner Dean Harrison, doing battle on the North Yorkshire public road course.

Along with branding at the event – including the ‘Bennetts Bridge’ – an event stand will allow race fans the chance to find out more about Bennetts and how they could win a Honda SP-1. Bennetts Rewards members – either as part of their motorcycle insurances policy or as a subscriber – will also be able to benefit from exclusive, money-can’t-buy access. Last year, Bennetts customers gained exclusive access to the paddock, presented trophies and waved the checked flag for the headline races.

Luke Brackenbury, Bennetts PR, brand & events manager commented, “We’re excited to be supporting road racing in England and this links us with our other racing commitment in BSB and TT. We’ve been impressed with the professionalism of the new club and are looking forward to delivering a unique experience to our customers as part of our Bennetts Rewards. It’s also going to be great to see some road racing again!”

Eddie Roberts, Oliver’s Mount Managing Director added, “I’m pleased to announce this partnership with Bennetts, and we’re proud to be associated with a brand that really supports racing in the UK. We’re looking forward to working with Bennetts in the future and giving Bennetts Rewards customers a unique experience only Oliver’s Mount and road racing can bring.”
