Bonneville Bantam

To celebrate 65 years of the BSA Bantam a trio of enthusiasts are working on a 125cc model to take 125cc vintage class (pre-1956) speed records at Bonneville, USA, during 10-16 August speed week. Advice and backing from the trade is sought. Current sponsors include Rex Caunt Racing and David Jones Motorcycles.

The Team Rooster Booster trio are former BBC World Service engineer Karl Meredith (pictured left), automotive die-cast engineer Steve Roberts (pictured right), and aluminium foundry worker Nick Spalding. Contact: [email protected]

More than 400,000 Bantams in 125, 150 and 175cc forms were made from 1948 to 1971. It remains Britain’ best selling home produced bike.
