The tenth Telford Twin Shock, Classic and Road Racing Show (The International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, Saturday-Sunday 9-10 February) will be the biggest and best yet, says organiser Alan Wright. Guests will include 19 times TT winner John McGuinness and five times British motocross champion Bryan Wade, who now lives and works in Borneo.
Main sponsor is Putoline Motorcycle Oils at what is claimed to be Europe’s biggest competition motorcycle show. Trade stand space bookings remain open until Monday 4 February (details: 01789 751422). Among those already booked are leading off-road importers Malcolm Rathmell (Sherco), John Lampkin (Beta) and Nigel Birkett (Ossa). Last year there were 250 trade and 70 autojumble stands, said Wright.
Stage interviews, star bikes, bike fire-up sessions and an outdoor autojumble give this show variety and pace. Fire-up bikes will include Sammy Miller’s V8 Moto Guzzi. Display bikes will include a Valentino Rossi 2011 MotoGP Ducati Desmosedici.
