boost your sales, and the industry

Ride to Work Week is 19 to 25 June, and the Motor Cycle Industry Association is encouraging everyone to get involved.

The association has prepared a Ride to Work Week PR guide which has suggestions and resources to help members of the industry make the most of the motorcycling promotional week.

The website for Ride to Work Week can be found at www.ridetoworkweek.co.uk and contains a ‘Downloads’ page where you can download assets such as logos, banners and email footers to tell the world that you are riding to work. The same assets can be transferred by file, if required, or your email can be added to gain access to a Dropbox folder.

MCIA PLANS FOR RIDE TO WORK WEEK

MCIA has issued a release which uses the Leuven study (research that found if 10% of drivers swapped to a PTW, then

congestion would be reduced for all road users by 40%) and estimates what the cost savings would be if that were to happen for some of the UK’s most congested cities.

The association has produced an infographic around this, which will be added to the DOWNLOADS section of its website, and will also have new hi-viz jackets, using the campaign slogan #commutehappy.

If you would like some of these, please email address details.  For ease this year, they are all one size – large.

MCIA will post content across the week, repost content from its members and dealers and encourage the Facebook community to post their pictures.

Participants are requested to let the MCIA know what they have planned and to use the association’s Motorcycle Safety and Transport Policy Framework where possible www.motorcycleframework.co.uk
