Bumper Bawtry auction

Bawtry Motor Auction sold 70 bikes on 21 October at its Bawtry, South Yorkshire, permanent site, the eighth time this year Bawtry has breached the 70-bike watermark at its monthly sales. Total take was £150,130.

So far in 2014 Bawtry has sold 719 bikes and ATVs, a record year for the auction house. This performance establishes Bawty as leader in terms of units sold this year.

The October results embraced machines form 1989 to 2014 and hammer prices from £220 (Guewer e-bike) to £6500 for a mighty 2012 American 1731cc Victory High Ball V-twin. Honda dominated, 19 examples making good.

The Chinese made Honley marque from Yorkshire, launched at the EXPO trade show in January, appeared in the results for the first time, two delivery mileage models each making £925.
