Leading independent powered two-wheeler tyre distributor Cambrian has donated a brand-new BMW R1250RT to Blood Bikes Mid Wales. It has become the latest addition to this charity’s life-saving motorcycle fleet, which provides a completely free courier service for the NHS.
Each machine used by Blood Bikes is named. This one has been affectionately entitled Myfanwy, after Cambrian Tyres founder Cledwyn Evans’ late wife, who sadly passed away early last year.
Myfanwy, who was also known by many Aberystwyth residents as Margaret, played an instrumental role in establishing the company, which celebrated 50 years in business in February this year. Cambrian Tyres hopes this gift in her memory will continue to make a difference in Aberystwyth and beyond for years to come.
Cambrian Tyres sales manager Mathew Leeman, who is also an area representative and trustee of Blood Bikes Mid Wales, kindly accepted the bike keys from Cledwyn Evans.Â
