FOURTH TIME LUCKY FOR MANCHESTER BIKE SHOW

After three cancellations, two putative changes of venue and a last-minute reversal, the Manchester Bike show organisers are understandably delighted to announce that their event will return at Manchester’s EventCity on the weekend of 29-30 January 2022.

Due to the pandemic, shows at EventCity were canned in March 2020 and again in March 2021. Then, upon hearing of potential permanent closure for the EventCity venue, a third attempt to revive the event was scheduled elsewhere at Bowlers, to run on 11-12 September 2021. That bit the dust when exhibiting dealers, on behalf of various manufacturers, pulled out owing to display stock shortages.

In its turn, this version was rescheduled for 2-3 April 2022 at Bowlers. But then the superior EventCity venue was suddenly offered by a third-party company which had taken out a short-term licence to run activities in the halls there until 31 January 2022. Battle-weary Manchester Bike Show organisers therefore gratefully booked the weekend immediately prior to that date.

They have reportedly gained approval from all the major exhibitors who were booked into the original show, before its first postponement in March 2020, so it’s definitely on the road. Fingers crossed…
