Close Motor Finance launches motorcycle division

Close Motor Finance announced today it had hired three additional Motorcycle Account Specialists as part of a major investment aimed at further improving the service provided to their dealer partners over the last 14 years.

The company says the new motorcycle division will now have five sector specialists working exclusively on bike business, with a 15-strong experienced support team with motorcycle industry knowledge in the background.

Chris Reid, who heads up the Close Motor Finance motorcycle division, said dealers across Great Britain would benefit from their own dedicated motorcycle specialist who would be both knowledgeable and passionate about bikes and whose primary objective was to help dealers sell more bikes using point-of-sale finance.

Reid said Close recognised “the unique requirements of the motorcycle market and is continuously reviewing how it can maintain a first-rate, personalised service to dealers”.

“Our new offering sets us apart from the competition as dealers will always work with specialists who know everything there is to know about motorcycles, including underwriting and account management. Our dealer partners can also be assured that their assigned specialist’s sole focus will be on bikes.”

Reid revealed its sales support team had attended the Motorcycle Industry Association “Industry Induction” training course to prepare for the launch.

In January the company was named ‘Best Business Support Service of the Year’ at the British Dealer News industry awards 2014. Voted for by motorcycle dealers across the UK, the award recognised ‘the finance provider, insurance provider, business systems, website or service company that most helped your business’.
