Croft turns back the clock

Croft circuit’s fifth annual Nostalgia Weekend (2-3 August) will feature racing, fast cars and motorbikes to classic automotive memorabilia, evocative music and fabulous fashion.

Chief among the off-track interest will be the popular Fashion Show, celebrating ‘Fashion Through the Eras’ and to be held in the main marquee on Sunday, 3 August.

Organised by sisters Amy and Lucy Scorer, the show will display an array of fashion trends from the glamour of the roaring ’20s to the outrageous ’70s punk scene, passing through the fun-loving ’50s and swinging ’60s and offering a rare chance to reminisce over the culture and colours of yesteryear. Spectators are encouraged to embrace the vibrant retro atmosphere by attending in period dress themselves.

What’s more, in a Nostalgia Weekend first, carnival funfairs will bring along three traditional village green fairground rides on Sunday, 3 August – including the delightful Olde Tyme Swing Boats.

Exhibitors will also showcase a range of beautiful items inspired by the decades during and immediately after the war, ranging from classic cars and diecast toys to vintage jewellery, retro clothing and chic artisan collectables – giving visitors a unique shopping experience.
