Harley dealership expands to become UK's largest

Newmarket Harley-Davidson has become the American brand’s largest UK dealership. The franchise has moved after 22 years at its Black Bear Lane premises to a new purpose-built 15,000sq.ft showroom on the Newmarket Business Park.

The new dealership opened on 2 January and a launch event will be held on Saturday 2 March.

Franchisee Lind Automotive has retained the wooden fascia design on the roof to mimic the previous location and there is a 200-person capacity warehouse for parties and events. A 35-space car park also means plenty of room for bikes.

Located close to the A14, A11 and M11 as well as the East Coast Ports and Stansted Airport, the dealer is also planning regular bike nights, too.

In the middle of last year, Harley-Davidson announced several new models aimed, it said, at attracting a new, younger audience as well as updating its existing muscle cruiser range.

The new range includes the Pan America 1250 adventure bike, the Streetfighter 975 and an all-new Livewire electric bike, which are due to arrive later this year.
