Honda lights up in Blackpool

North West Honda, part of the Cox Motor Group, is about to open a £1m purpose-built motorcycle showroom at its Blackpool site near junction four of the M55. The new facility, described as “one of the flagships of the Honda network”, provides a separate showroom for motorcycles, which previously shared space with Honda cars. The new building improves display space inside and out and provides a bigger workshop with covered reception and more scope for aftersales service.

Family-run Cox Motor Group, one of the biggest in the North-West, retails Honda, Volkswagen and Seat cars and, on the motorcycle side, new and used Honda motorcycles in Blackpool, Lancaster and Wigan, where there is a CBT facility.

MD David Cox describes the expansion as “a logical move that reflects our confidence in two wheels”, and is upbeat about the prospects for motorcycle retailing, the cross-fertilisation with the sales of Honda cars and his business relationship with the Japanese giant.
