MICHELIN RACES ON

MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports has signed a three-year contract extension with Michelin that will see the French firm continue as official tyre supplier to Dorna’s premier race series until at least 2026.

Michelin, based at Clermont-Ferrand, became sole tyre supplier to MotoGP in 2016, replacing Bridgestone. As part of this extended agreement, the brand will also continue to be featured trackside at each event and will be the title sponsor of a grand prix each season.

Commenting on the refreshed deal, Michelin Group chief executive Florent Menegaux said: “We are very satisfied with the results obtained since returning to MotoGP. For us, being a partner means engaging with both spectators and all players in the discipline using our tyres, our brand and our innovations. We see motorsport like a lab that encourages transfers of expertise and swift application of our sustainable solutions that benefit everyone.”
