MOTO-ELECTRICAL LAUNCHES NEW R1 ROTORS

Moto-Electrical have launched a brand-new aftermarket Rotor for the Yamaha YZF R1. Based on the OEM design, the boffins over at RMStator developed this new to market replacement rotor after hearing of many failures on the OEM version.

Using their expertise RMStator discovered that Yamaha uses low quality epoxy to secure the magnets to the rotor body. Over time and many heat cycles, the epoxy fails allowing the magnets to come loose and contact the stator, potentially causing catastrophic damage. With this in mind RMStator developed the new heavy-duty flywheel rotor for Yamaha Motorcycles with a high temperature epoxy that is stronger than the OEM and thus eliminating the possibility of magnet detachment.

Moto-Electrical originally soft launched the Rotor back in March to outstanding success and they are now making the whole sector aware of this high quality and generously priced part now being widely available.

They have two options for this part, which comes either as the solus Rotor, but to ensure you get the equipment working in harmony, they do recommend picking up the Rotor and Generator Stator kit – that way you know you have the best kit available for your bike.

The stator included in the kit, has also been built to exceed OEM quality, with the highest grade of lamination materials – with copper winding resistant to 200 degrees Celsius.

The Rotor on its own retails at £214.99 and the Stator / Rotor kit retails at £349.99 – These prices make these a steal for the quality and improvement over the OEM version.

Part numbers for these are: solus RMS120-105969 and kit RMS900-106628.
