Oxford Products came home from the Oxfordshire Business Awards 2014 with more silverware, this time winning the coveted main prize of “Business of the Year” and “Business Person of the Year” for managing director Andrew Hammond.

The Oxfordshire Business Awards took place on 20 June with over 500 guests attending a gala dinner at the Oxford Four Pillars Hotel.  Winners were announced in 15 categories, all, according to the organisers, highly contested by the county’s most talented and successful organisations and individuals.

Having recently celebrated the Prime Ministerial opening of its new 100,000sq.ft premises and thereby doubling the size of its facilities to cope with the result of continued strong growth, Oxford Products was praised for its exceptional dynamism, commercial success and international ambition. Also noted were impressive levels of investment in infrastructure, product innovation and staff development.

The team also celebrated MD Andrew Hammond’s “Businessman of the Year” award, which recognised the remarkable transformation of the company he has overseen since taking the helm in 2001. Andrew took a team of 14 to represent the company at the awards night, a mixture of staff and management from different departments.

Hammond told BDN: “As a business, we work extremely hard together as a team and as such it does feel rather alien to have been singled out in this way, but it is still an achievement that I am massively proud about, especially as on the night the Oxford Products also won the overall Business of the Year and were finalists in the Employer of the Year award.”
