rider training school insurance launched

Niche innovator Lexham Insurance came to Expo 2015 armed with a new package of cover for rider training schools. Some 12 months later, at Expo 2016, Lexham MD Andy Goodson was happy to report that his company has insured 150 schools since then.

“But this is next,” he grinned, pointing to a prominent panel on his Expo stand. “We’ve got a bespoke product for electric bikes and pedelecs, whether they’re registered or not. There’s no requirement to insure unregistered pedelecs — apart from the obvious reasons of them being expensive and not covered under household insurance.

“We’re already marketing the product to dealers, from whom our referrals are stronger than ever. We still believe rewarding dealers for referrals is the best way to drive fresh business forward.”

See all the latest services and product at Expo, which is running at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire until Tuesday 26 January.
