'rolls' noyce stars at farleigh castle

Everything is set for the biggest vintage, twin shock, Evo and Super Evo event in the world this weekend: the Vets MxdN at Farleigh Castle near Bath.

The gates opened at noon on Thursday and the track is reported to be in excellent condition.

The circuit is around one hundred meters shorter than previous years, with the dreaded bog not included. This means there is a completely new exit to the woods, where spectators will get a short glimpse of the riders ahead of them returning to the main area.

A new Disabled Area has been formed at the bottom of the circuit which means there are now two dedicated zones. The new one is situated on the outside of the first bend so fantastic viewing is assured. The Organising Club ask that this is ONLY for blue badge disabled holders and this is respected.

Graham “Rolls” Noyce (top picture) will take part in this year’s event which will celebrate 40 years since his World Championship triumph. Riding a specially prepared Honda, Noyce will ride in the four Twinshock Over 50 races – two each day.

Commenting on receiving the entry from the Hampshire-based rider, a club spokesman said: “We are delighted that Graham has confirmed that he will be at the event. He has agreed to be available to mingle with riders and fans on the Friday, ahead of taking to the track on Saturday and Sunday. We are sure that the other 59 riders in the race will be pleased to rub shoulders with such a legend.
