Sweet treats for hungry service staff this winter

It’s one of the more esoteric promotional campaigns we’ve seen but it could be a winner for Yuasa. The Japanese vehicle battery maker is sending out support packs of Tunnocks Snowballs with qualifying orders of new batteries, with the aim of keeping technicians going through the cold winter days.

Dubbed ‘Treat Yourself to a Tunnock’s’, the new campaign will see nearly half a million Snowballs shipped across the UK and Ireland. Each promotional pack contains eight Snowballs as well as a unique code for the battery manufacturer’s exclusive competition – which has a smart watch, a Gordon Shedden experience at Knockhill and three GS Yuasa ‘Winter Workshop’ kits up for grabs.

Jon Pritchard, marketing manager at GS Yuasa, said: “We know this is an incredibly busy time for workshops, in fact, more batteries fail in winter than at any other time of year. That’s why our latest promotion encourages vehicle technicians to take a well-earned break and treat themselves to a Tunnock’s. By choosing an OE quality, GS Yuasa-manufactured battery, you’re ensuring your customers avoid a non-start situation, the last thing anyone wants on a frosty morning.”
