tributes pour in for dealer frank robinson

Friends and customers of Frank Robinson have been paying tribute to the popular and respected motorcycle dealer who was involved in a fatal accident while riding his bike on the Isle of Man (see story on 6 June).

Frank was MD of 5-Ways Motorcycle Centre in Hull, a business he opened with his wife Lesley in 1980. In a tribute, Frank’s son Gareth said his father was a dearly loved and devoted husband, father and grandpa.

Frank first visited the Isle of Man TT at the age of 16 and had continued to attend for more than 50 years. Gareth told BDN: “He truly loved the island and it became a place very close to his heart.

“We are devastated at losing him so suddenly and unexpectedly.”

A Facebook posting on the 5-Ways website registered more than 100 tributes.
