Vintage Club autojumble

Attracting 270 traders manning autojumble stalls, the Vintage Motor Cycle Club’s annual Founders Day Rally celebrated 80 years of the club (Est 1946) at Stanford Hall, Leicestershire, on 19 July.

Autojumble organiser Steve Hall of the VMCC’s vibrant Taverners Section said: “The weather was perfect. It brought out a strong crowd of classic and vintage machine enthusiasts and made the day thoroughly enjoyable.”

The event included 62 club stands and parade ring events with commentary. Flat tank pre-1930 vintage motorcycles were the main theme.

Founders Day is so called because it was introduced by VMCC founder member the late Charles ‘Titch’ Allen (1915-2010) OBE, BEM, in the early 1960s. A WW2 dispatch rider, he wanted to create a Midlands version of the Beaulieu Autojumble. Founders Day is the VMCC’s leading autojumble of the year. The club has more than 10,000 members worldwide.
