SCRAMBLER-BASED CLASSICS WIN ITALIAN GONGS

A pair of classic Scrambler interpretations developed by the factory’s Ducati Design Center received accolades in the recent prestigious Concorso d’Eleganz Villa d’Este in Cernobbio on Lake Como.

A throwback version of the Scrambler Café Racer with aluminium bodywork, wire wheels and a hand-stitched seat took the Villa Erba trophy on a popular vote and won the “motorcycle design – concept bike and new prototypes” category. A retro take on Ducati’s Scrambler Desert Sled came third in the same slot.

Established in 1929, the Concorso d’Eleganz Villa d’Este is billed as the world’s most exclusive competition celebrating the design and style of vintage cars and motorcycles.
