honda's head of motorcycles in the UK to leave

Nick Campolucci, head of Honda’s motorcycle division in the UK, has announced today that he is to accept a new challenge outside Honda.  A departure date is yet to be announced.

Campolucci has worked for Honda for 17 years, the last four as the head of Honda’s motorcycles commercial and domestic racing division.

Speaking about the announcement, Campolucci said: “I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with amazing people, engage with three very different product areas and be part of something very special within the unique culture of the Honda business.”

Dave Hodgetts, MD of Honda UK, said: “We are extremely sad to lose Nick who has progressed through a wide variety of roles and functions in the business. His greatest success has been during the past four years in the head of motorcycles role where he ensured that once again Honda returned to being the clear market leader in the UK.

“From an industry viewpoint, his commitment to ‘making biking cool again’ and his work with the industry body as vice-chairman for the MCIA will also be sorely missed”.

Campolucci will remain with Honda for several months which will allow the business to appoint a suitably qualified successor to continue the company’s current strategy.
