Putoline sponsers indoor trials

Putoline Motorcycle Oils kicked off its 2013 promotion season in style with a sensational Putoline trials section at the opening round of the FIM world X-Trial indoor championship at the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield, on Saturday night, 5 January.
John Hayden, Putoline MD, said the company was embarking on its busiest promotion season so far and was so pleased with the event that Putoline will be involved again next January. Five members of Putoline staff attended.
Event co-organiser Neil Crosswaite of Avondale Management reported a crowd of 5500 and is looking for more sponsors for next year’s opening round (contact: 01274 566111; [email protected]). He has been organising events at Sheffield since 1996 and says that this event, co-organised by Martin Lampkin, the first world trials champion (1975), is the UK’s only indoor trial.
Winner was the incomparable Toni Bou (Montesa Honda) of Spain, who has won the world indoor and outdoor titles for the past six years – 12 titles in total.
